The TCS Amsterdam Marathon is a World Athletics Platinum Label Road Race that for years has had one of the fastest courses in the world. In the ranking of fastest marathon cities, the largest marathon of the Netherlands is in fourth place. Highlights of the course include the start and finish in the Olympic Stadium, the passage through the Rijksmuseum and along the Heineken Experience, stretches along the Amstel and through the Vondelpark.

Date 2025

The TCS Amsterdam Marathon is  always held on the third Sunday in October. In 2025, the 49th edition of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon will take place on Sunday, October 19. At the same time, the 50th anniversary of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon will be celebrated on this day. The very first edition of the marathon took place in 1975.
