Kids Run

The Kids Run will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2025, during the weekend of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon. A unique opportunity for the youngest runners to take part in this iconic event and experience their own marathon adventure.

This year, there are two distances available for children aged 4 to 13. This ensures that kids of various ages and skill levels can take on a challenge while enjoying the energetic atmosphere and a beautiful route around the Olympic Stadium area.

Both distances will start in Start Area B on Stadionweg, and all children will finish in the Olympic Stadium in front of the grandstand. A truly unique experience!

Course

A fun course of 1,000 and 1,600 meters has been set up starting from Stadionweg. The 1,000-meter route takes a small loop via Olympiaweg and ends in the Olympic Stadium. The 1,600-meter course runs along Marathonweg, through Olympiakade, and back via Amstelveenseweg to the Olympic Stadium. A true marathon experience!

Parents can cheer on their kids from various points along the course. For children aged 4, 5, and 6 (the last starting group), parents are allowed to run with them. If you're older, your parents can accompany you to the starting area and pick you up after you finish.

Finish and medal

New this year, both distances—meaning all kids—finish in the Olympic Stadium. Here, everyone receives the well-deserved medal! Parents can watch the finish from the stands, but it is not possible to access the children from there. The finish area is closed to the public.

Meeting Point

After finishing, the children will receive their medal and leave the stadium via the refreshment station. They will then proceed to the meeting point, which is marked off in a circular area with cones and tape. Parents are kindly asked to remain outside the circle. Inside the circle, volunteers will look after the children. Once parent and child see each other, the child may leave the circle to go to their parent. Please refer to the course map and legend for the location of the meeting point.

Kids Arena

After the Kids Run, there will be a special Kids Arena for the young participants. Here, children can get their faces painted, enjoy a magician’s show, and listen to cheerful music around the stadium. Various food stalls will also be available.

Kids party

When you’re done running, it’s time for the kids’ party! The children’s disco will be there until 12.00 hours, playing fun music and hosting a lottery. There will also be face painters available, so you can get your face painted!

Fanzone Olympic Stadium

Do you also want to encourage the top athletes in the Olympic Stadium before or after the Kids Run? Then you are most welcome at the special Kids Run Fan Zone! Cheer your favorite to the finish. The first top athletes will cross the finish line around 11.00 hours. And maybe you'll see who will be the new Dutch Champion for the marathon? Access is from grandstand L, accessible from the Kids Square (Cruyff Court).

Charity

In Amsterdam, 1 out of 5 kids grows up living below the poverty line with insufficient economic resources. This means that approximately 30.000 children in Amsterdam do not have access to the opportunities that their more fortunate peers may take for granted, for example, participating in organized sports. Jeugdfonds Sport Amsterdam pays the membership fees for a child from a low-income family directly to the sports association. Requests can be send to one of the 1100 intermediaries in Amsterdam.

This year Jeugdfonds Sport and Le Champion are teaming up in order to get more children involved in sports in Amsterdam. Our mission: get Amsterdam kids moving! We are already looking forward to see those happy faces and running children during the Mini Marathons.

Mizuno Raceshirt voor Kids

Do you want to run in the one and only TCS Amsterdam Marathon Raceshirt? That is possible! The official Mizuno Raceshirt is also available for kids this year. How cool is that? The shirt is available for only € 17,50 at the Merchandise stand at the Marathon Expo.

The shirt is available in the sizes 104, 116, 128, 140, 152 en 164.
