Travel Advice Race Day

Sunday 18 October

We recommend participants to travel by public transport in view of the limited number of parking spaces available near Sporthallen Zuid (Burgerweeshuispad 54, 1076 EP Amsterdam). Note: large parts of the city will be closed to traffic on the Sunday of the marathon. Limited tram and bus services operate in the centre of Amsterdam. Participants are advised to take the metro.

For information about travelling to the International Marathon Expo in RAI Amsterdam, please click here.
Metro
The nearest metro station is Station Zuid. From here, signs will guide you to the Olympic Stadium and Sporthallen Zuid. Check the GVB app for up-to-date travel information and use discount code Marathon2026 to get 20% off all day tickets. The discount does not apply to 1-hour tickets.

Please note! For the safety of travelers, metro station Amstelveenseweg will be completely closed on Sunday from 13.00 to 18.00 hours, and no metro will stop there. From the Olympic Stadium, you can walk directly to Station Zuid for the metro and train.

Road closures for the event will affect tram and bus routes on Sunday 19 October.  You can find the latest information at www.9292.nl and www.gvb.nl.
