Registration 2025

Will my bib number be sent to my home?
You can pick up your bib number at the Marathon Expo in the RAI Amsterdam. At the latest in the week before the event you will receive an email with all the detailed information and information about picking up your bib number.

Please note! As of this edition, the Marathon Expo will move from Sporthallen Zuid to RAI Amsterdam! There will be more space for exhibitors, sponsors and other partners to present their latest innovations to the running public. This will also be the location where participants collect their bib numbers and where the helpdesk is located.

The opening hours of the Marathon Expo are:

Thursday 16 October 1pm - 8pm
Friday 17 October 10.00 - 20.00 hours
Saturday 18 October 09.00 - 19.00 hours

I live abroad, will I receive my bib number by mail?
If you are registered with a foreign address, you will also have to pick up your bib number. You will receive information about this in the week of the event.

I have taken over a ticket. Can I start in another start wave?
When you take over a bib number after Monday September 8, 2025 you also take over the start wave and start time of that person. Earlier start is not allowed, later start is allowed.

Transferring NK bib numbers is not allowed.

Registration

When will registration open?
Registration for the 2025 TCS Amsterdam Marathon opens on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 09:00.

Registration for the TCS marathon NK and Kids Run opens on Monday, January 6 at 09:00.

When does registration close?
Registration for the TCS Amsterdam Marathon closes on October 6, 2025, unless we sell out before then.
Registration for the TCS Amsterdam Marathon NK will remain open until October 6, 2025. There is no limit on this.

How much does it cost to register?
You can find the fees here.

I did not receive a confirmation email, what now?
The confirmation email is from 'noreply@atleta.cc'. Check your spam or junk mail.

If you have not received the confirmation email, please contact us via this form. You may have made a typing error in the email address.

Is there a post-registration? Is there a waiting list?
There is no post-registration or waiting list.

If you still want to join us in Amsterdam and looking for a ticket, the Atleta Resale page may be able to help you with that. Please check the Bib number Resale page for tickets. The nearer to the event, the more tickets will be availble for resale.

Changes are temporarily not possible from September 8, 2025 to October 8, 2025. From October 9, 2025 you can make changes again. Changes made after October 9, 2025 will not be taken into account in the printing of the bib number or your start wave classification.

How do I login to my personal account?
If you have previously used your e-mail address to register in Atleta, choose 'Login' during registration. You will then receive an e-mail from 'noreply@atleta.cc' with a code to log in.

Change, cancel, transfer registration

How do I change my distance, personal details, expected finish time?
Log in to your dashboard and change your data. You could change your details until 1 September 2025. Later changes will not be taken into account in the orders.

Can I cancel my registration?
If you cannot or do not want to participate, you can transfer your registration to someone else. You can see how this works in the question about 'transferring'.

Can i transfer my registration to 2026?
No, it is not possible to change the registration to 2026, but you can transfer your registration to someone else.

How can I assign my registration to someone else?
Go to 'Open dashboard' in your confirmation e-mail. Open your registration and ticket and click 'Details' and 'Transfer ticket'.

Share the unique registration link to allow someone else to claim your ticket. Or choose 'enter the personal details yourself' to fill in all the new runner's details yourself and click 'Save'.

If you assign a ticket after the change deadline, 8 September 2025, we can no longer change the name on the bib number. Butthe new participant's name will be in the official results.

Changes are not possible between 8 September and 8 October, 2025. You na assign again from 9 October 2025.

Bib number

Will my bib number be sent to my home address?
You can pick up your bib number at the Marathon Expo in the RAI Amsterdam. At the latest in the week before the event, you will receive an e-mail with all the detailed information and information about picking up your bib number.

I live abroad, will I receive my bib number by post?
If you are registered with a foreign address, you will also need to pick up your bibn umber. You will receive information about this in the week of the event.

I have taken over a bib number from someone. Can I change the name on the bib number?
Once a bib number is made, the name unfortunately cannot be changed. If the bib number is assigned to you online, your name will appear in the results.

Start area/starting time

How do I find out in which starting area I will start?
In the week before the event, you will receive an e-mail with the latest participant information including information about your starting area and start time.

Can I start earlier/later?
You may start at the TCS Amsterdam Marathon in a later starting area. Starting earlier is not possible.

Start/finish

Where is the start?
The start of the full marathon is split between the Olympic Stadium (Area A) and Stadionweg (Area B). The start of the half marathon and the 8K are on Stadionweg.

How do I find out in which starting area I start?
In the week before the event, you will receive an e-mail with information about your starting area and start time.

Can I start in a different starting area?
You may start at the TCS Amsterdam Marathon in a later starting area. Starting earlier is not possible.

Helpdesk

Where is Le Champion's Helpdesk?
You will find the Helpdesk at the Marathon Expo.

Medal

Will I receive a medal?
Every participant will receive a unique medal after finishing!

Where can I have my medal engraved?
You can have your medal engraved at the engraving stand during the event.

Kids

Is there a prize ceremony at the Kids Run?
There is no prize ceremony. All children will receive a medal after the finish.

I would like to run with my child, can I?
Parents with children aged 4 to 6 are allowed to run with their child on the course. Assistance with older children is not possible.

During the run

Are there toilets?
There are toilets outside the Olympic Stadium and at every refreshment station.

Are pacers available?
Yes, pacers are available at the TCS Marathon and Mizuno Half Marathon. Click here for more information and target times on the Runner's World Pacing Team.

Are there shower and changing facilities?
Limited changing rooms and shower facilities are available in Sporthallen Zuid.

Are there lockers available?
There are no lockers or lockers available. You can leave clothes at the clothing drop-off.

Can i run with headphones?
Yes, headphones are allowed.

Can I run with a hydration vest?
Yes, that is allowed.

If your results in the app are incorrect, or if your results are not in the app, please check the official results on the website. The result on the website is leading.

Where can I find my official results?

For questions and comments about the results, please send an email to Mylaps Event Timing.

Can I have my results removed?

The Personal Photo/Video Pack you ordered is provided by Marathon Photos Live. You will receive an email from Marathon Photos shortly.

I haven't received my certificate yet, how do I receive it?
Your certificate will be provided by Marathon Photos Live and will be placed with your personal photos in the official results.

Registration 2022

Is there a late registration?

The TCS Amsterdam Marathon, Mizuno Half marathon and TCS 8K are sold out. There is no late registration or waiting list.

On the supply and demand page can you contact someone who offers his/her tickets. Once you have found someone, this person can assign the ticket and any additional products to you via their dashboard.

How do I change my distance?

You can opt for a shorter distance on the Marathon Expo after you have picked up your original bib number.

If you choose to change

TCS Marathon to Mizuno Half Marathon: Get your bib number first. Go to the Helpdesk with your bib number and exchange it for a bib number of the Mizuno Half Marathon.
Mizuno Half Marathon to TCS 8K: Get your bib number first. Go to the Helpdesk with your bib number and exchange it for a bib number of the TCS 8K.
TCS Marathon to TCS 8K: You don't have to do anything. You can start with your start number for the TCS Marathon in the comparable start area of the TCS 8K. The chip on your bib number automatically register the correct distance.

You will not receive a refund of the registration fee. You will, however, keep the Mizuno Race Shirt if you were registered for the TCS Marathon.

It is no longer possible to opt for a longer distance.

How do I change my personal details, expected finish time and/or shirt size?

Registration for the TCS Amsterdam Marathon is closed and all the bib numbers have been ordered. It is no longer possible to change your personale data, expected finish time an/or shirt size. Changing your data was possible until September 5, 2022.

You can still assign your ticket to someone else from September 27 to October 16, 2022 14.00 hr. You can still change your shirt size at the Marathon Expo.

How can I find someone to assign my ticket to?
A supply and demand page will be available on our website after September 27, to help you find someone. However, you don't have to wait for that of course.

Can I cancel my registration?

Unfortunately it is no longer possible to cancel your registration. If you cannot or dont want to participate, you can transfer your registration to someone else. You can read more about how the transfer at 'How can I assign my registration to someone else?'. A refund of the registration fee or a transfer to the 2023 edition is not possible.

I can no longer participate. How do I find someone else for my ticket?
The supply and demand page on the website can help you find someone. You can assign your registration to someone else from September 27 to October 16, 2022 14:00 hrs.

How can I assign my registration to someone else?

Go to 'Open dashboard' in your confirmation email. Open your TCS Amsterdam Marathon registration, click on your ticket and assign to 'Someone else'.

If you assign a ticket after the latest change date, September 5, 2022, we can no longer change the name, address, expected end time and shirt size on the bib number. You can assign your registration to someone else until October 16, 2022 14.00 hr. The transfer is at your own risk. Le Champion does not mediate in this.

Registration

Registration for the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2022 is closed. The limit for the TCS Marathon, Mizuno Half Marathon and TCS 8K has been reached.

You can only register for the Kids Run until Monday 3 October.

Can I still get a bib number?
Are you still looking for a bib number for the TCS Marathon, Mizuno Half Marathon, TCS 8K? On the supply and demand page we offer you the opportunity to buy a bib number from someone who offers their ticket.

Transfer can be done via the seller's personal dashboard. This is possible from September 27 to October 16, 2022 at 14.00 hr.

Can i transfer my registration to 2023?

No, it is not possible to change the registration to 2023, but you can transfer your registration to someone else.

Is there a waiting list?

There is no late registration or waiting list for the TCS Amsterdam Marathon.

Participants from Russia and Belarus

Russian and Belarussian elite athletes will not be accepted in or invited to participate in the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2022.

Russian or Belarussian nationals who live either in or outside Russia or Belarus will be allowed to take part in the mass participation races of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2022.

Le Champion, the organizer of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon, will not trade with any Russian or Belarussian companies or individuals.

Bib number

Will I receive my bib number at home?
You can pick up your bib number at the Marathon Expo. You will receive an e-mail no later than 6 October with all detailed information and information about collecting your bib number.

Are you registered for the Business Run & Charity Run? Then you or your contact person will receive the bib numbers at home.

The bib numbers for the Kids Run with a Dutch address will be sent home. The Kids Run bib numbers with a foreign address must pick up the bib number at the Marathon Expo.

Where can i find the latest participant information?

You will receive the detailed information by e-mail by 6 October at the latest.

Where can i pick up my Mizuno Race Shirt?

If you participate in the TCS Marathon or if you have ordered the Race Shirt from Mizuno in advance, there is a shirt voucher attached to your bib number. With this voucher you can pick up your Mizuno Race Shirt at the Marathon Expo.

Where is the Helpdesk?

You can find the Helpdesk at the Marathon Expo.

Where is the clothing drop-off?

The clothing drop-off of the TCS Marathon takes place in tents around the Olympic Stadium. Participants in the Mizuno Half Marathon and TCS 8K can go to the square in front of Sporthallen Zuid. The clothing collection is free and at your own risk. Loose clothing cannot be left in the stadium.

Is there an TCS Amsterdam Marathon App available?

COVID-19

Corona rules

Will the event take place in a adjusted way?
It is possible that the 2022 edition will have an adjusted program. We therefore follow the actual developments and will make adjustments when needed.

What corona rules will apply?
This depends on the situation in October. We follow the actual developments closely and will inform all people involved.

Cancellation

What happens if the event is cancelled?
In case the event is cancelled, all participants will receive a refund of the registration fees, less the reasonable costs incurred by Le Champion in preparation for the event.

Kids Run and Mini Marathons 2021

What is the Kids Run and the Mini Marathons?

During the TCS Amsterdam Marathon there also several activities for kids. They can choose for the Kids Run at the Olympic Stadium or participate in one of the Mini Marathons alongside the official course of the 'big' marathon.

How can I register my child for the Kids Run or Mini Marathons?

For the Kids Run (Olympic Stadium) go to the registration page. Choose Register and for the ticket Kids Run. As soon as you have completed the registration, you will receive a confirmation email from noreply@atleta.cc.

How much does it cost to register for the Kids Run or the Mini Marathons?

The registration fee for the Kids Run is € 3.50 and for the Mini Marathons € 1.00.

What time does the Kids Run or the Mini Marathons start?

The Kids Run (Olympic Stadium) on Sunday 17 October starts at 10 AM. The starting times of the Mini Marathons (alongside the course) are different per location. For more information click here.

I would like to run with my child. Is this allowed?

It is possible to run with your child in the last starting area of the youngest children aged 4-6 years. That's no problem. Is your child over 6 years old, but still wants to run with a parent? Then that's good too. You can then start together in the starting section of 4-6 years.

Is there an award ceremony at the Kids Run or the Mini Marathons?

Under the motto of 'Participating is more important than winning' and 'Everyone is a winner', there will be no award ceremony after the Kids Run and Mini Marathons.

All children receive a medal at the finish!

Bib number

When and where can I pick up my bib number?

You have received all information about collecting your bib number by e-mail in the week of October 4. On presentation of your e-mail (on your phone or printed) you can collect your bib number in tents on the south side of the Olympic Stadium (opposite the grandstand entrances O-P and Q-R). Picking up your race number is only possible at:

- Thursday 14 October between 13.00 and 20.00 hours.
- Friday 15 October between 10.00 and 20.00 hours.
- Saturday 16 October between 10.00 and 18.00 hours.

You cannot pick up your bib number on Sunday 17 October.

Can I have my bib number collected by someone else?

Yes that is possible. This person must bring the e-mail with your receipt.

Can I have my bib number sent to my home adress?

Until 16 September, you had the option to choose to have your bib number sent to you. Unfortunately, we can no longer change this from 'pick up' to 'send'.

In October you will receive an e-mail about collecting your bib number. You can then pick it up yourself or have someone else to pick it up for you. This person must bring the e-mail with your receipt.

How are the starting area divided?

The starting areas are divided based on the expected end time that you entered during your registration. The expected end time can no longer be changed.

If you still want to start in a different starting area, you can always start later. You can't start earlier.

Information event

When will the race app be available?

Download the official race app from Thursday 14 October in the Apple Store and Google Play Store.

Where can I find the participants magazine?

Where can I pick up my Mizuno Race Shirt?

Participants in the full marathon and those who have ordered the Mizuno Race shirt will receive a coupon together with you bib number. On presenting this coupon at the Pre-ordered Raceshirt stand at the south side of the Olympic Stadium, you will receive your race shirt.

Where can I find the Helpdesk?

The staff at our Helpdesk at the south side of the Olympic Stadium will be happy to help from Thursday October 14 to Saterdag October 16. On Sunday October 17 you will find the Helpdesk on the west side of the stadium, opposite entrance K.

Will there be toilets?

There will be toilets outside the Olympic Stadium and along the course.

Will there be pacers?

Check here for more information about the Runner’s World Pacing Team.

Will there be shower and changing facilities?

There is limited changing room available at sports venue Sporthallen Zuid, there are no showers or lockers.

Where can I drop of my clothing?

During the TCS Marathon, clothing will be stored in tents around the Olympic Stadium. Participants in the Mizuno Half Marathon and TCS 8 km can find their drop-off point on the square in front of Sporthallen Zuid. The service is free but we are not responsible for any stolen or missing items. It is not allowed to take loose items of clothing into the stadium.

Will there be lockers?

There are no lockers available.

Where’s the clothing drop-off for the Business and Charity Run?

On the first floor of the Amsterdamse Proeflokaal an additional point for clothing drop-off has been provided specifically for participants of the Business Run and Charity Run. It is not obligatory to leave your clothing here. You can also leave clothing at the location used by the individual participants in the TCS 8K, Mizuno Half Marathon and TCS Marathon.

Virtual Run 2021

How do I register my finish time in the Virtual Run App?

Download the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2021 App, powered by TCS. The race app will be available in stores from the 1st of October.

Where can I log in for the Virtual Run?

Navigate to the ‘Virtual Run’ button in the menu. Log in with your bib number which have been assigned by us and the date of birth that you specified during your registration. You can find these details in the registration confirmation and in your personal dashboard.

The race app will be available in stores from the 1st of October.

When can I start my Virtual Run?

Run your chosen distance on Sunday 17 October 2021 between 00:00:00 and 23:59:59 hours (UTC/GMT +2 hours). Please note, if you start earlier or later, your time may not be registered or not be registered correctly.

Will I receive a physical bib number at home?

No, you will not receive a physical bib number. But in the app you can create, print and pin your personal start number on your shirt.

Is there live tracking for my supporters?

No, live tracking is not possible.

Can I also participate in the Virtual Run without the Virtual Run App?

No, that’s not possible. You can only register your finish time in the Virtual Run App.

If you would like to use a different wearable to track you time of your Virtual Run, you could also choose to enter your time manually to the app. Navigate to the ‘Manual Entry’ field via the ‘Virtual Run’ button in the menu. Enter your finish time in hours, minutes and seconds and tap the ‘Submit’ button at the bottom of the screen.

Minimum time permitted for entry:
- Full marathon: 2 hours and 15 minutes
- Half marathon: 1 hour and 10 minutes
- 8K: 25 minutes

Is there a time limit?

No, there are no maximum time limits for the Virtual Run. Please note once you have started your timer, you can’t restart it. Pausing is not possible. Run an extra 100 to 200 meters to be sure of a finish time for your distance, GPS registration is not 100% accurate.

Can I change my Virtual Run distance?

No, it is not possible to change your chosen distance.

When will I receive my medal and/or Mizuno Raceshirt?

If you have ordered a medal and/or Mizuno Raceshirt, you will receive it by post no later than 15 November, if you have a Dutch address. If you live abroad, it may take longer to arrive. Outside Europe, it can even take a few weeks extra.

Participants 2020 > 2021

Will my registration for the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2020 automatically be converted to the edition of 2021?

No that doesn’t happen automatically. On the 3rd of March you received an e-mail to confirm your participation in the edition of 2021, 2022 or to donate. It was possible to make your choice until 1 August.

In case you haven’t made a choice, we will transfer your registration to the edition of 2022. In November you will receive more information about this.

I haven’t received an e-mail about converting my registration, is this correct?

The e-mail about converting your registration was sent on the 3rd of March. It was possible to make your choice until 1 August.

I have chosen to participate in 2021, can I still convert my bib number to 2022?

Sorry, that is not possible anymore. It was possible to make your choice until 1 August.

If you can’t or don’t want to participate, you can assign your registration to someone else. More information about this can be found at the question about ‘I would like to assign my registration to someone else ’.

I chose to participate in 2021, but I can't participate anyway. Is it possible to cancel my registration?

If you do not want to or cannot participate in the 2021 edition, you can transfer your registration to someone else. You can see how this is done in the question ‘I would like to assign my registration to someone else’.

Unfortunately it is not possible to cancel your registration. Until 1 August, it was only possible to convert your bib number to 2021, 2022 or to donate.

I chose to convert my registration to the edition of 2022, what happens with my ordered extra’s?

If you chose to covert your registration to the edition of 2022, all ordered extra’s (like a Mizuno Race Shirt, Pasta Party or Good Morning City Run ticket etc.) will also be transferred to 2022.

I chose to donate my registration, what happens with my ordered extra’s?

If you chose to donate your registration fee, you automatically chose to donate your ordered extra’s as well. This can’t be separated.

Cancellation and corona measures 2021

Will the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2021 take place?

The 45th edition of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon will continue. Participants do not need a coronavirus entry pass to participate in the event. Some measures apply only to the public. Please check here for more information.

What happens if the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2021 is cancelled?

In case the TCS Amsterdam Marathon cannot be organised in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, your bib number (including ordered extras) will be transferred to the edition of 2022. More about this can be found in our General Terms and Conditions.

What if I live outside the Netherlands and I'm not sure if I will be able to travel to Amsterdam due to Corona?

If you live outside the Netherlands, please choose wisely if it is possible to travel to the Netherlands in October. You are personally responsible for this choice.

Check the travel restrictions in your country and this checklist for entering the Netherlands. Please note that the information on this website will be updated when the COVID-19 situation changes.

How can I register as a new participant?

Registration is closed. You can register for the 2022 edition on November 1.

How do I change my distance? How do I change my personal data?

It was possible to change your registration until September 1. Unfortunately we can no longer make changes.

How do I change my shirt size?

It was possible to change your shirt size until September 1. Unfortunately we can no longer make changes.

I would like to assign my registration to someone else

Go to Open Dashboard in your confirmation e-mail. Click on TICKET in the dashboard. At Assign fill in the e-mail address of the person you want to transfer your registration to.

You can assign your registration to someone else until the 16th of October. Assigning to someone else is at your own risk. Le Champion doesn’t mediate in this.

If you assign your registration, you also transfer any extras (for example shirt, medal, medal engraving, etc.). It is not possible to split this and have these extras sent by us afterwards.

Can I cancel my registration?

If you can’t or don’t want to participate, you can transfer your registration to someone else. More information about this can be found at the question about ‘I would like to assign my registration to someone else’.

When will the TCS Amsterdam Marathon be in 2022?

In 2022 the TCS Amsterdam Marathon is on Sunday the 16th of October.

How can I register for the Business Run, Charity Run or as a Travel Agency?

Registration for the Business Run or the Charity Run of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2021 will start Monday, May 31.
