What is the Pacing Team powered by Polar?

Pacers are experienced marathon and ultra runners who are able to maintain a steady pace throughout the race. Additionally, they provide runners with tips and advice along the way, helping participants get through the tough moments. There are at least two pacers per finish time. You don't need to sign up in advance to run with the pacers.

Where do the pacers gather?

There is no central meeting point where pacers gather before the race. They go directly to the start areas. The pacers will position themselves in the start areas corresponding to their target times. The target times and corresponding start waves are listed below. Pacers are easily recognizable by the flag displaying the target time they will run. They will be in their respective start area well before the start, arranged in descending order of target time (fastest at the front, slowest at the back).

This service is completely free, aside from the registration fee for the event itself!

The Pacing Team will also have a booth at the Marathon Expo in the RAI, where you can stop by beforehand with any questions.
