The Wave Rider has a MIZUNO ENERZY midsole that allows you as a runner to experience extra cushioning and energy return. The use of MIZUNO ENERZY gives you enhanced agility and stability, which is combined with resilient propulsion. On the paved road, the shoe has a smooth stride while in the woods you will experience a lot of stability.

Between the two layers of MIZUNO ENERZY lies the plastic Wave Plate in the shape of a wave. This Bio Pebax Wave Plate provides support and is made with Castor oil for a more eco-friendly footprint. The lateral and medial sidewalls of the shoe are raised and the area around the midfoot shank is reinforced.

The Wave Rider 27 fits seamlessly thanks to the technical Jacquard mesh and 3D PU print for a strategic fit and grip around the foot. The material is soft, pliable and highly breathable. The heel cap has also been updated, as has the Gusset tongue construction that ensures an optimal fit around the midfoot. Thanks to X10 carbon rubber in the outside of the heel, the shoe is more resistant to abrasion, especially from heel landers.
