Introduction second start location for the full marathon

Due to the growing popularity of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon, the upcoming edition, considering the capacity of the Olympic Stadium, we will introduce a second start location for the full marathon.

On Sunday October 15, additional starting spots will be available for the main distance, allowing the marathon to grow to 20,000 runners this year. To ensure the safety of the event and an optimal runners experience, we can have a maximum of 15,000 runners starting from the Olympic Stadium. For the remaining 5,000 participants, we will create a second starting location directly outside the Olympic Stadium. Shortly after the start, the two streams of participants merge and all runners follow the same course from the Vondelpark through the city towards the finish, which is in the stadium for everyone. Partners and business teams are guaranteed to start at the Olympic Stadium.

Limit starting spots in stadium reached
In recent days, the first limit of 15,000 entries was reached. So at this moment only registration is available with a start position outside the Olympic Stadium. The interest in the TCS Amsterdam Marathon is unprecedented, the total limit of 20,000 is also fast approaching. Do you want to run your masterpiece in Amsterdam? Secure your starting spot now.

Participant limits half marathon and 8K
The popularity of the other two distances of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon, the Mizuno Half Marathon and the TCS 8K, is also extremely high. Earlier this month, the 8K already sold out with 5,000 participants. A maximum of 20,000 participants can enter the half marathon, with the limit also already 80% reached. Both the half marathon and the 8K start outside the Olympic Stadium. The finish line, like the full marathon, is in the stadium.
