Registration for the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2026 will open on Saturday 20 December. On Sunday 18 October, 32,000 runners will take part in the Platinum Label marathon, renowned for its fast and scenic course with both start and finish in the Olympic Stadium. In addition to the classic marathon distance, the Mizuno Half Marathon will also take place on Sunday. One day earlier, on Saturday 17 October, the 7.5 km race, Kids Run and Heroes Run for athletes with a disability will be held. In total, more than 60,000 runners will participate during marathon weekend, with over half coming from abroad each year.

Limited number of tickets for starts inside the Olympic Stadium
The popularity of the Amsterdam marathon continues to grow every year. At the most recent edition, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon, tickets sold out in record time. Expectations are therefore that capacity limits will again be reached quickly. In addition, there is a limited number of starting spots available for Start Area A inside the Olympic Stadium. The following participant limits apply to the various events:

  • TCS Marathon: 32,000
    • Start Area A Olympic Stadium: 16,000
    • Start Area B Stadionweg: 16,000
  • Mizuno Half Marathon: 15,000
  • 7.5 km: 15,000

Run Against Cancer
Once again this year, participation in the TCS Amsterdam Marathon is also possible via KWF Run Against Cancer. With a minimum sponsorship amount of €750, participants receive a free entry and an exclusive Run Against Cancer shirt. In recent years, nearly €5.5 million has already been raised for groundbreaking cancer research at the Cancer Center Amsterdam.
