TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2026 sells out within one week

Following the opening of registration, interest in the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2026 proved exceptionally strong. Within one week, all 32,000 entries for the full marathon and 15,000 places for the half marathon were fully allocated. This once again underlines the enormous popularity of the event. Registration is now only available for the shorter distances: the 7.5K, Kids Run and Heroes Run.

Race Director René Wit: “The speed at which the main events of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon have sold out confirms the strong appeal of the event. We are pleased to be able to continue the two-day programme from our anniversary year with these participant numbers. This allows us to keep investing in quality, experience and an optimal event for all participants.”

The World Athletics Platinum Label marathon, organised by sports organisation Le Champion, will take place over two days next year, with the full and half marathon on Sunday 18 October, and the 7.5K, Kids Run and Heroes Run on Saturday 17 October. The running event is known for its fast course and iconic finish in the Olympic Stadium and attracts thousands of national and international participants from more than 140 countries each year.
